Taylor, 79, of Shelbyville, passed away Wednesday, March 14, 2018, at Waldron Health and Rehab.She was born April 24, 1938, to Peter Raymond and Lula (Mussman) Sleeth. She married Lloyd “Sonny” Taylor on June 16, 1956, and he survives.Marlene is also survived by her son, David Ray Taylor, of Shelbyville; granddaughter, Angie (Tony) Parker; one great-granddaughter; two great-grandsons; several nieces and nephews; and many friends.She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Raymond and George Sleeth; sisters, Jennie Short, Imogene Swords, Grace Elsbury, Gailya Bowling, Anna Spiker, Lula Belle Brown and Carol Miller; and grandson, Logan Ray Taylor.Marlene worked for many years as a nurse’s aide at Heritage House.She enjoyed crocheting afghans, embroidery and cooking.Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, March 19, 2018, at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service, 703 S.
